Summer Gifts

Such a beautiful summer, don't you think?  I have been working on lots of little projects.

You see, this summer our two grandsons are coming to visit....and we can't wait!  In just 2 weeks we will be picking them up at the airport on Nashville.  We did not see them for a long time.  (They live in the state of Washington.).

We are planning different day trips, got games, movies and my husband found this Go-Cart for sale on Craig's List.  He got it  really cheap.  He did a lot of work on it, going over the engine, brakes, painted it, etc.  He even made a new seat for it and then I upholstered it.  When he got it all together, he asked our youngest son to come over and be a test dummy.

Oh, he loved it!

Now, at then end of August, their parents are coming to spend a week before taking them home.  So I made my daughter-in-law a table topper.

Then some potholders and a mitt to match.

Then I made her a mug rug for her desk at work.

I didn't stop there, I made another topper out of Batiks:

Oh and another potholder and mitt:
(Hamburgers!)

Next on my list is to bake lots of "COOKIES"!

So, till next time,

HAPPY QUILTING EVERYONE!!!

And Remember....

Wow. Would you like to adopt me? I'd love that first table runner and the oven mitt and pot holder. Wow. They are all just gorgeous. I'm sure you can tell already my favorite color is purple. I might have to copy you when I have time. I think I might add a few dish towels with some of the same fabric stitched onto the bottom too. Now that I think about it, that would make some really nice Christmas presents for my friends. Great idea. Thank you for showing us.
