Happy Halloween Everyone!

In just 2 days, it will be Halloween already!

I am sorry to see this hop over.  Time goes too fast for me.  I remember when I was young, my mother would always say, "The older you get the faster time goes.". She was either right, or I am getting slower, lol.

First, I want to share some Halloween fun that Ramona Jackson has made and brought in for "Show n' Tell" at our Quilt Guild meeting this month:

Below, was actually a panel.

She says she loves to decorate everywhere.  So she made some pillows to match:

Other "Show n' Tell" that was brought in:
Linda Aarant made some cute toppers with some is her stash.

Joyce Fratini's quilt:

Bette Bock's quilt:

Linda Arant's Quilt:

Another of Linda Arant's:

We also were lucky to have Barbara Hartline show us how to make Christmas ornaments, what fun we had!

Gail Young holding her ornament:

We had such a good time, as we always do.  Next month,..Field Trip!

Now, I also went to random.org and had a winner to my Maxine panel.

Nancy, at Patchwork Breeze

Congratulations!  I will send you an email shortly to verify your winnings.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Halloween Haunts, 2015

Today is my day to show you all what I made for "Halloween Haunts, 2015”

Thank you so much Marian (Seems to be Sew).  For all your hard work organizing this hop.  I am so happy you are bringing back the hops.  I know I have missed them and seeing all kinds of projects AND talking to other quilters.

Now for what I have made.
First, is a Mug Rug.  Since I am one that always has some kind of drink with me, either coffee, tea, water, etc.  I have lots of mug rugs around.  That way my cup, or glass, will not make things wet.  So I came up with this:

I just love doing appliqué, but these guys were printed on some scrap fabric I found.  I cut them out careful and WaLaa!

Then I made a little coaster to match:

After staring at my Halloween fabric, eating some chocolate (gotta have my chocolate, lol) I came up with this wall hanging:

I painted white dots for eyes on the bats, and gold for the cats.

I then made 2 welcome banners:

Well, I guess you had all heard by now that Fat Quarter Shop is giving away a $25.00 gift certificate every day of the blog hop.   Wow!!  How great is that!
So, don't forget to enter!  They not only have the latest fabrics but their customer service is the Best!

I am so sorry I cannot link to the Raffelcopter.  I read Marian's directions many times, did it just like she said but with no luck. I think it is because I am doing it on my phone.  (My only way to get on the internet)  I am sure the others who are posting today will have the link.  If not, you will find it at Marian's

But Wait... before you go, I am also giving away ONE panel,
 (12" X 44”) of Maxine Halloween faric.
Just leave me a comment,
(Anyone can enter for I will send it anywhere!)

(Fabric is folded, here is both sides)

I will keep it going through October 28th  and post the winner on October 29th.
So good luck to all.  It is adorable fabric, I got some for myself also.

Now that you seen what I have made...
Come, grab your broom and fly with me to check out the others that posted today.

HAPPY QUILTING EVERYONE!!

Quilt Charts and Formulas

Everyone likes shortcuts and ways to learn ways to make their life easier.  I have been asked if I know of any charts or tables that can be used. I dug around and found quite a few.  I hope at least one will be helpful to you.

I am sure you all know and seen this one.  Yet when someone wants me to quilt a quilt for them or make a quilt for them, their first comment is "about bed size".  So I show them this chart:

Then it's, how much backing or batting do I need?
This one comes in handy.  When they have doubts as to your figures, I show them this one.

Did you ever want to know how many inches in 3/8 yard when at a store and your and goes blank?

Or how many strips can you cut out of a yard of fabric?

Perhaps your making a Quilt with fat quarters.  Here is a good chart to have for a quick reference.

Or this one.

And here is a quick chart to learn how to make HST's:

But what if you only need 4?

Or you may prefer a simper chart for HST's

Or a chart with lots of different sizes:

Another I have found:

Then there is this one:

I hope I didn't confuse you and have been of some help.

One more chart to show you:

Hey, did you hear the news yet?
There is a Halloweenhop coming up.
YEAH!
It is Halloween Haunts 2015
Starts:
October 16th
Hope you all can join me.

HAPPY QUILTING EVERYONE!!
